The QC Traceability app is designed to help you track and manage relationships between various items within your Confluence Cloud environment. This documentation will guide you through the key features and functionalities of the app.
Settings tab
Manage your Relationship Types to define how your items will be related to each other. Relationship types form the foundation of your traceability structure.
By default, the QC Traceability app will give you the following types:

Create a new Relationship Type
To create a new Relationship Type, all you have to do is:

Click the “Create” button

In the dialog that pops up, add your relationship type for upstream and downstream traceability

Click the “Add” button to save your newly created entry.
Edit a Relationship Type
You can edit a Relationship Type by selecting it and clicking the “Edit” button. Once you are done with the changes, simply click “Save”.
Delete a Relationship Type
Select a Relationship Type and click the “Delete” button to completely remove it from the QC Traceability app.
Relationship Types that are already used in a Project cannot be deleted.
Items tab
Manage your items.
Create an Item
With the QC Traceability app, you can create Items from Jira links to include in your Projects. To create a new Item, follow the steps below:

Click the “Create” button

In the dialog that pops up, paste your ticket’s URL and give your Item a unique title that best describes it

Click the “Add” button to save your newly created entry.
You do not need to create items from Confluence pages as they are already in Confluence and can be located.
When a Confluence page is added to a Collection, it will automatically be added to the Items Overview.
Edit an Item
You can edit an Item by selecting it and clicking the “Edit” button. Once you are done with the changes, simply click “Save”.
Here is what you can change while editing an Item:

Delete an Item
Select an Item and click the “Delete” button to completely remove it from the QC Traceability app.
Collections tab
Organize your items into collections. Collections help in managing and linking related items together.
Create a Collection
You can create your own Collections by clicking the “Create” button in the Collections Overview tab. Give your Collection a unique title and abbreviation to make it easier to identify what items are within it. Providing a short description of the Collection will also help your users.
Import Items to Collection
To import an Item to a Collection:

Click the “Import” button under the “Items” section

Select the Item that you want to include in the Collection

Click “Add” to import the Item.
Delete an Item
To delete an Item from a Collection, select the Item and click the “Delete” button. This will remove the Item from the Collection, but it will still be available under the Items Overview.
Edit a Collection
You can edit a Collection by clicking on its title. All changes will be automatically saved.
Delete a Collection
Select a Collection and click the “Delete” button to completely remove it from the QC Traceability app.
Projects tab
Build traceability projects
Create a Project
Projects with traceability ensure that every step, decision, and action taken can be traced back to specific elements. Creating a Project is easy and can be done by following the steps below:

Click on the “Create” button

Give your Project a unique title and short description

Add Rules to your Project to define how each collection relates to another.
Edit a Project
You can edit a Project by clicking on its title. All changes will be automatically saved.
Delete a Project
Select a Project and click the “Delete” button to completely remove it from the QC Traceability app.
Page Overview
Easily link your pages with other Items by going to the QC Traceability Page Overview and adding Upstream and Downstream links.
Add Upstream Link
Add Upstream links and trace the origin of the page. Upstream links are displayed on the Page Overview Diagram in orange.
Add Downstream Link
Add Downstream links and trace how the page influences subsequent stages in the project lifecycle. Upstream links are displayed on the Page Overview Diagram in blue.
Edit an Upstream or Downstream Link
You can edit a link by selecting it and clicking the “Edit” button. Once you are done with the changes, simply click “Save”.
Delete an Upstream or Downstream Link
Select a link and click the “Delete” button to completely remove it from the QC Traceability Page Overview.
Export Traceability Table
You can export the QC Traceability Page Overview to Word, Excel, and CSV.
